Summer is here! Wonderwall.com rounds up the best and worst-dressed stars of the month, starting with this Oscar winner’s win… Anne Hathaway has certainly hit a milestone when it comes to her personal style. After a fashion roundup at the Cannes Film Festival, the actress continued her best-dressed streak in this bright yellow Valentino outfit she wore to the Bvlgari Eden The Garden of Wonders event in Paris on June 6. Her chic look included an unbuttoned shirt dress strategically buttoned to show off matching shorts underneath as well as stellar diamond accessories.
So keep reading to see more celebrity fashion hits and misses this month…

This Ralph Lauren look that Jessica Chastain wore to the premiere of “The Forgiven” during the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on June 14 was an interesting choice. The star arrived in a piece from the brand’s Pre-Fall 2022 collection – a fitted black sleeveless halter-style dress that started strong and went south thanks to a weird accessory: the look was styled exactly as it unfolded on the runway – with a silky white tie down the center. Let’s take a closer look…

Absolutely stunning! Jessica Chastain served up a big fashion hit at the Tony Awards in New York City on June 12, picking out this dreamy off-the-shoulder Gucci creation. From the baby pink color to the ruching and draping at the hip, we loved every inch of this satin tailoring. Her decision to add a dark red lip sealed the deal, making it one of our favorite star looks in ages.

Jennifer Lopez did not receive the memo of the summer! All month, the entertainer has been rocking dramatic black looks, like this Tom Ford dress she wore to the premiere of her Netflix documentary, “Halftime,” in New York City on June 8. We weren’t crazy about the high neck, long sleeves or floor-length silhouette or those cutouts and sheer panels. This miss looks pretty much like another disappointing fashionista pick…
_
Jennifer Lopez’s look at the MTV Movie & TV Awards in Los Angeles on June 5 was pretty disappointing. The usually super-stylish star’s black Monot ensemble looked very simple from the front – featuring a leather bodice with a plunging neckline and a simple black skirt – but it had unexpected cutouts at the back…

Jennifer Lopez’s Monot dress featured very daring hip cutouts and back slices. Despite the unique additions, we were still very disappointed with this red carpet superstar.

It’s very difficult to take a look from the catwalk to the red carpet, but if there is a star capable of doing it, it is Sarah Paulson. Case in point? The Moschino tailoring she wore to the Tony Awards on June 12, which included dramatic short puff sleeves, a voluminous peplum and an all-over multicolored sequined leopard print. Typically, just one of these would be enough and combined, the result could be an over-the-top look, but we actually think Sarah nailed this one with an otherwise very simple style – no jewelry, a bun and a red lip.
_
Ouch! Laura Dern’s look at the June 6 Los Angeles premiere of “Jurassic World: Dominion” left a lot to be desired. The star appeared in this bold choice from Prada that started as an electric blue satin turtleneck and morphed into a bright red knee-length skirt. Cement this look as a dud? Those overly shiny pumps that continued the risque theme of exaggeration.
_
Julia Fox continues to come up with shocking fashion – with her bleached eyebrows and unorthodox outfits – so this look she delivered at an event in New York on June 14 was not unexpected: a figure-hugging black mesh number worn over a bralette and briefs, to which she added short leather gloves for a funky finish.
_
Pretty in purple! Reese Witherspoon arrived at the “Where the Crawdads Sing” photocall in Los Angeles on June 7 in this dreamy lilac Victoria Beckham suit. The star paired it with a crisp white shirt and pale purple pointed toe pumps for a pretty, almost monochromatic ensemble.
_
Daisy Edgar-Jones showed off perfect summer style at the “Where the Crawdads Sing” photocell in West Hollywood on June 7. The beauty rocked this cute short-sleeved white lace mini dress by Valentino for the occasion and paired it with beige lace-up sandals for a more laid-back vibe.
_
Although Lana Condor certainly adopted the hottest color of the year at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards on June 5, the hue was the one element we loved. Her bizarre Valentino outfit was head-to-toe hot pink — consisting of a coat, bralette, matching shorts and tights, and platform pumps — giving us some serious highlighter vibes.
_
Eva Longoria wowed the 2022 MOCA gala in Los Angeles when she arrived in this stunning neon yellow design by Giuseppe Di Morabito. The strapless dress featured an interesting neckline, a peplum detail at the waist, and a midi-length straight skirt for a beautiful silhouette in an even more mesmerizing (and on-trend!) hue.
_
Eva Longoria continued her fabulous fashion streak at the Women’s Empowerment Forum in Los Angeles on June 7. The beauty donned these pretty neutral coordinates – a cream long-sleeved crop top paired with a matching high-waisted maxi skirt – and accessorized with metallic sandals.
_
Olivia Rodrigo arrived at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on June 5 in this vintage Jean Paul Gaultier number that’s actually older than her. The midi dress with its cone-style bodice and zipper detailing looked like a far too mature choice.
_
The best dressed star of the TIME100 gala was clear! Zendaya rocked the vintage Bob Mackie — a dreamy strapless number with a structured neckline and paneling in shades of teal and black — at the New York event on June 8.
_
Zendaya added some sparkle with her sparkling diamond earrings and necklace from Bvlgari as well as pops of rich teal around her eyes to complement her stunning vintage dress.
_
This one from Tracee Ellis Ross started out strong – we loved the color of Proenza Schouler’s cheery yellow number – but the ruching and drawstring details lost us on this sleeveless design. Make things worse? The choice to associate it with mismatched golden pointed pumps.
_
Obsessed! Nicola Coughlin has been killing it in the fashion department lately, but this pretty sky blue ruffled mini dress she wore to Tiffany & Co.’s 150th anniversary installation at Harrods in London on June 6 is our favorite look to date! The “Bridgerton” star accessorized her off-the-shoulder Selezza tailoring — which featured ruffled tulle throughout, enhancing the feminine feel — with darling Jimmy Choo pumps with oversized bows alternating front and back.
_
Amanda Seyfried’s look at the TIME100 gala in New York on June 8 was not our favorite this month. The Carolina Herrera star’s high-low hem look had odd proportions, including ruffles across the bust combined with spaghetti straps, though we loved those unique strappy heels.
_
Marion Cotillard continued her string of dodgy Chanel looks at the ‘Jeanne d’Arc au bûcher’ photocall at the Royal Theater in Madrid on June 1. Her ensemble – which did not appear to be from the fashion house – included a bold floral-patterned blouse with a matching coat in the same fabric paired with high-waisted, super wide-leg jeans. Finish the look? Matronly T-strap sandals. Next!
_
“Selling Sunset” star Chrishell Stause wowed in a daring Grace Ling ensemble at the MTV Movie and TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED event on June 2. Chic coordinates included a petite bralette with gold hardware and high-waisted pants that held their own surprise. Discover them from another angle…
_
The pants in Chrishell Stause’s set included sheer side panels for a surprising touch. The pants go perfectly with these Giuseppe Zanotti metallic sandals.
_
What’s going on here, Mary J. Blige? The singer walked the red carpet at the TIME100 gala in New York City on June 8 in this dodgy creation by Gaurav Gupta. The mini dress featured cutouts and off-the-shoulder sleeves that flared out in a dramatic cape-like detail. Despite the contempt for the dress, we enjoyed how she matched her sandals in the pretty teal hue.
_
Melissa McCarthy looked cool for the summer in Valentino white as she stepped out in New York City on June 7. electric blue sandals.
_
Sydney Sweeney arrived at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on June 5 in this Miu Miu outfit featuring a pale pink cropped, collared top and a sparkly drop-waist miniskirt. While we loved the color scheme, we weren’t crazy about the hip buckle details. One thing we loved? Her sublime Miu Miu pumps. See next…
_
Sydney Sweeney paired her Miu Miu details with these stunning brand platforms, which included embellished straps and chunky jeweled heels.
_
Ariana Madix looked lovely in red at the premiere of “Jurassic World: Dominion” in Los Angeles on June 6. The reality star arrived at the event in this sleek House of CB number which featured spaghetti straps, a fitted waist and a midi skirt. Her black heeled sandals cemented this look as a hit.
_
Tiffany Haddish arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of “Lightyear” on June 8 in this underwhelming outfit — an off-the-shoulder jumpsuit. She accessorized with a pair of bright red strappy sandals and a matching red belt, but even pops of color couldn’t save the look.
_
Kristin Cavallari’s YSL look included a red headband adorned with a gold Y, a white stripe down the waist with an S and an L at the top of the fitted pants – a surprising twist that won us over. She completed her look with a perfect ponytail and gold hoops.
