NBA Twitter reacts to Klay Thompson’s 38-point performance in Warriors’ blowout win over Bucks

With a new look to three guards in the Golden State Warriors backcourt, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole took over Saturday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

While the Warriors clung to a double-digit lead for most of the contest, Thompson caught fire against the defending champions. The five-time All-Star had a season-high 38 points on 15-of-24 shooting from the floor with six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 34 minutes.

Adding to Thompson’s vintage performance, Poole added 30 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field with six boards, five assists and a steal in 35 minutes. Poole has now recorded 20 or more points in six straight games for the Warriors.

While Poole and Thompson combined for 68 points, Steph Curry recorded a season-low eight points on 3-of-7 shooting from the field with eight assists, five boards, one block and one steal in 33 minutes. Despite Curry’s low-scoring night, the Warriors earned a resounding victory over the Bucks, 122-109.
