The word ‘history’ is not new to us, but we learned it especially well in 1983 when India won the Cricket World Cup in England. Need more tea? Let’s watch director Kabir Khan’s movie 83, which is now live in theaters. It’s going to be a film full of energy, there is Ranveer Singh in it, and isn’t it obvious what to expect? As this freshly released film is destined to reach new heights, as white kookaburra balls would have blown off the stadium in ’83, let’s take a look at what Mr. Singh offered us all to pick from his promotional looks.
His sweetheart, Deepika Padukone, who is a part of the same movie, also promoted it with Ranveer. It was mostly retro fashion month for the 36-year-old actor, and the idea of tuxedos being a great option all year round is something that won’t be retiring. Ranveer’s very typical eccentric looks were rather toned down this time around but what a treat it was nonetheless. Take a not-so-quick walk through what the costume designer and stylist, Eka Lakhani and our hero have served so kindly through the days.
Trending Right Now: Ranveer in a fluffy animal print long sleeve sweater from Saint Laurent, paired with tan-look red placket stockings. The shiny black shoes and oversized red-rimmed sunglasses were an example of what accessories steal the show. A vintage look well done and how!
No room for “done and dusted off” with such thin pants. It’s a no-brainer that Ranveer would approve of Sabyasachi’s creation time and time again. As seen above, he was wearing brown flared pants embroidered with gold sequins. He was pummeled with a floral shirt that left him naked (drool mode on) and to top it off with style he wore a green and brown striped jacket that sported eye-catching prints with yellow. An iconic belt from the designer’s shelves and ornate mules looked so suave and accessories like Brixton’s brown hat, sunglasses and earrings made it all look the coolest.
Back with a Gucci rut, we’ve always been gaga. Wearing a Gucci 100 velvet jacket that featured a horsebit print all over, it featured double pockets and a small patch on the sleeve that read the brand name. To keep it coordinated, he has worn it with matching pants and Saint Laurent suede boots. Her accessories were top notch with Saaksha & Kinni’s printed red scarf around the neck, tinted sunglasses, jewelry and Nick Fouquet’s brown Homburg hat.
Dress up, stable, bling it! Dressed to make the jaw drop in Gucci’s high-neck sparkly ribbed sweater, he was pummeled with yellow corduroy straight pants. A set of stellar accessories designed for this look including black sunglasses from Versace, Misho rings, gold handcuffs from Bhavya Ramesh Jewelry, a silver Gucci x Balenciaga neck chain and bespoke boots from Copper. Mallet. Hope you are ready to party!
Let your outfit be as famous on Instagram as you are. Ranveer took that to heart here as he kept it extremely dapper in Alanui’s brown knit cardigan which sported mini white and black trims and looked perfectly bundled up on a black turtleneck t-shirt. This one had tucked in to the right and looked exceptional with white bell bottoms that matched all this outfit. The V Renaissance cowboy hat, Louis Vuitton’s black sunglasses and rings, Kichu’s sharah pendant and Balmain’s black boots tied her look.
Here’s what people clearly meant by giving a second chance isn’t a bad thing to do. Turns out it’s that good. Ranveer played disguise in Alanui’s cardigan again, but a color change looked good this time around because it was gray. Worn over a white turtleneck t-shirt, tucked in to pair it with velvet pants. Sunglasses, hat, neck chain and boots became essentials that looked quite chic.
It’s not monochrome Monday yet, but here’s something no boy would ever say no to. The pantsuit worn over a white shirt looked stunning but absolutely perfect with Nick Fouquet’s fedora hat, Louis Vuitton rings and chains, sunglasses and a watch. Look at the magical accessories that can cook.
Tuck our hearts into the love of tuxedos. Ranveer made us turn pale and pale on the first night of 83 wearing Amit Aggarwal’s bespoke sunburst structured white tuxedo that had majestic written all over and the corduroy pants looked sophisticated and dashing with tinted sunglasses and a black bow from Tom Ford and suede Christian Louboutin moccasins.
Dashing denim for the win! The boy seems to have jumped on the bucket hats trend, which mostly looked like a fly with a patchwork striped jacket, LV prints and. contrasting stitching details. Ranveer wore it over a sleeveless white t-shirt and pants similar to the prints on his jacket. He made this outfit sparkle with the Cuban chain of Hiflyer Jewels and tells us how many sunglasses are too many after looking at the star’s promotional avatars?
