
THREE teenagers were arrested and charged on the night of May 25 following a series of aggravated burglaries in the southeastern suburbs of Mornington and Melbourne.
The three 15-year-old boys, from Mulgrave and Noble Park, have been charged with a range of offenses including home invasion, motor vehicle theft, motor vehicle theft, obtaining property by deception and the commission of an indictable offense while out on bail.
The charges relate to several incidents, including:
Sunglasses stolen from a car and attempted break-in to a house in Silvan Grove, Mornington around 2am on May 16. The offenders were chased away by local residents.
Netball equipment stolen from a car parked outside an address in Dorothy Crescent, Mornington, on the night of May 15-16.
A Honda HRV stolen from another property in Dorothy Crescent at approximately 2:10 a.m. on May 16.
A Land Rover Discovery stolen from a property in Rendlesham Avenue, Mount Eliza around 5.30am on May 16.
A Mercedes Benz stolen from Sea Haze Court, Mount Eliza around 2pm on May 16.
A car broken into on Herbert Street, Mornington around 11.30pm on May 16.
A perfume, necklace and wallet stolen from a car parked on Maddison Avenue, Mount Eliza around 1am on May 17.
A Ford Mondeo and bag stolen from Herbert Street, Mornington at around 2.30am on May 17.
A purse stolen from a car at an address in Heath Street, Templestowe Lower and bank cards used at various shops on May 6.
A Nissan Juke and Hyundai i30 stolen from Laurimar Hill Drive, Doreen in an aggravated burglary in the early hours of May 11.
A Mazda CX5 stolen in an aggravated burglary in southern Vermont and stolen bank cards later used in deceptions on the evening of May 11.
A Jaguar stolen in an aggravated burglary in Foam Street, Parkdale on the night of May 14-15.
Scuba diving tools and equipment stolen from a house in Foam Street, Parkdale on the night of May 14-15
A 2021 Jaguar, Gucci shoes, purse and wallet stolen in an aggravated burglary at a house in Pine Ridge, Donvale at around 4.55am on May 19.
The trio were taken into custody to appear in juvenile court at a later date.
A fourth teenager has also been arrested and is expected to be charged on summons with motor vehicle theft.
