Man flees police at 115mph on Woodward, crashes in Detroit
A 26-year-old Roseville man fled Royal Oak police at speeds of up to 115mph along Woodward Avenue early Thursday.
Royal Oak Police received an alert from Bloomfield Hills about the driver speeding south on Woodward in a 2004 Chevrolet around 12:40 a.m.
Royal Oak officers attempted to arrest the driver after spotting him at 11 Mile Road and Woodward, but police said he refused to stop.
The driver slowed to speeds of 35mph to 45mph as he continued south on Woodward through Pleasant Ridge and Ferndale.
Once he crossed Eight Mile Road in Detroit, police said the driver increased his speed to 100 mph.
At a median near Seven Mile Road and Woodward, the driver attempted to make a median turn to head north and lost control of his car.

Police were called to the pizzeria as employees prepared to open the business near Webster Avenue on September 9.
Later, the burglary was determined to have occurred between midnight and 1 a.m.
There was no sign of forced entry and police say someone had unplugged all the surveillance cameras and tried unsuccessfully to open a safe.
Approximately $100 was withdrawn from a cash register and an employee’s prescription drugs in an office were stolen.
Police said the safe was damaged by some sort of blunt object or prying tool, but remained locked.
Argument between couple leads to vandalism charge
A Royal Oak man, 60, has been arrested for vandalism after police say he damaged a passenger window on his girlfriend’s car following an argument.
He and the woman he was dating were sitting in his car near Sixth and Troy streets on September 8, she later told police.
They were arguing about car insurance and who was going to pay for it.
The woman, 55, wanted to end the relationship and the man was upset. He climbed out of the front passenger seat and then hit the window, causing it to crack, police said.
She called police, who said they found the man at his nearby home and arrested him for malicious destruction of property.
